The Office of the Provost provides the resources and infrastructure that empower ÌÇÐÄlogo's community of scholars to pursue their greatest scholarly ambitions.

Provost Kathleen Hagerty

As ÌÇÐÄlogo's chief academic officer, Provost Hagerty works with deans, directors and administrative units to set academic priorities and polices and coordinate initiatives to support graduate and undergraduate education, faculty appointments and promotion, and space and resource planning. She also has primary responsibility for preparing ÌÇÐÄlogo’s annual budget.

Provost Hagerty is the First Chicago Professor of Finance in ÌÇÐÄlogo's Kellogg School of Management.

Eric Perreault will step down from his role as Vice President for Research at the end of this month and return to his role as a full-time faculty member. Associate Provost for Faculty and Hugh Knowles Professor of Hearing Science Sumit Dhar will serve as interim Vice President for Research beginning May 1 and report directly to the provost.

Experts will focus on three pillars of AI and data science: Research, Education and Infrastructure. The Education Pillar will be co-led by Jeremy Gilbert (Medill) and Sara Owsley Sood (McCormick). The Research Pillar will be co‑led by Scott Budinger (Feinberg) and Chris Wolverton (McCormick). The Infrastructure Pillar will be guided by Joseph Paris (ÌÇÐÄlogo IT).
